Best-selling, award-winning author Vanna B. recently completed her third book, The Succubus which comes off the success of her Fancy series. I was first introduced to Vanna when she was working as a model and receiving a lot of attention as a rising vixen in the industry. But there’s more to a book than its cover. Now a mother of two beautiful children, she uses her experiences to inspire award-winning books that have been widely received. Check out what inspires her craft as we discuss writing, modeling, and even a super-hero chicken.
What inspired you to start writing?
Writing has always been my favorite way to express myself and I’ve been writing all my life! My first “book” was called Ms. Cluck. It was written and drawn on folded construction paper and it was about a super-hero chicken.
How did you make the transition from modeling to writing?
Even when I modeled and worked a 9-5 I still would write. My degree and first job out of college were in journalism. I finally decided to write and publish my first novel, Fancy, after I left the workforce to raise my son.
What author(s) do you admire?
We appreciate Vanna B’s drive to produce high-quality work. We also applaud her for starting her own publishing company, Hope Street Publishing.
