Making A Living vs. Making A Life

I’ve committed to the idea of relocating. I can’t say that it was an easy decision to make considering I would have to uproot myself. The initial thoughts were all full of anxieties about making a living. Where will I work? How much will my rent be? Will I be able to find work in time? Nothing about those thoughts were exciting to me. However, once I started thinking about making a life, everything changed.

It’s natural to think about making a living. We all have bills and responsibilities that we need to meet. Unfortunately we can get so caught up in making a living that we forget about creating a life. Sometimes we have to take a chance, a leap of faith, in order to create the life we want for ourselves. You have to be willing to focus beyond your need to make a living, to get to the desires you want for your life.

Making a life for yourself isn’t easy. You have to make adjustments to uproot you from your routine. But the benefits of making that leap will be worth the initial challenges. It is important that you keep your desires in mind. What do you want to accomplish? What are your goals? What will you not settle for?

Make the decision to make a life instead of making a living. We only get one life so it’s important that you get the most out of it.
