Distractions Are Not Always Bad

The past 4 months I’ve been majorly distracted. It has gotten to the point where I just randomly get tongue-tied because I don’t even know what I’m doing (or saying) anymore. I recently fell in love and it all hit me out of nowhere and to be honest- it left me in a constant state of confusion. I I’m not used to thinking about anyone but myself. And I never had to consider someone else’s path in life. It just became overwhelming. I started dropping the ball on everything around me. And in a way I enjoyed the lack of responsibility. But on the other hand I was freaking out (daily) because I accomplished nothing. But at the end of the day I learned one thing…

Distractions are not always bad. They allow for your mind to focus on something else and it forces you to prioritize your time. It also brings new inspirations. Once you come back to your familiar… you have a new perspective. That perspective usually clarifies a few things you were previously missing.

Sometimes you have to allow yourself to break away from your usual routine. Distractions aren’t always a bad thing.
