A target audience is a specific group of people your message will be aimed to. Defining your target audience will help you find the best places for you to advertise, as well as determine how you communicate with your audience.

DEMOGRAPHICS:

Demographics give statistical information about your target audience. They give a basic overview of your target audience, and answer the “who” and “where” of your target audience.

PSYCHOGRAPHICS:

Psychographics showcase your target audience on the basis of their attitudes, emotions, and tastes. This helps you specify who exactly you’re targeting. This answers the “what” “how” and “why” of your audience.

What does your audience like to do (i.e. go to the library, go to sporting events?

Where does your audience shop?

What are their favorite TV shows?

How does your audience prefer to communicate?

Where or from whom does your audience learn about new products?
