Asia is home to some of the most beautiful cultures that all have unique art, architecture, and fashion. We flipped through the pages of Vogue Japan, Vogue China, and Vogue Korea to find unique Asian fashion editorials that highlight the fashion of the times. Check out what we found:
Vogue Japan shows off some amazing creativity. We love the designs that are used in the editorial, and the locations chosen for the shoot. The beauty of the culture is depicted in the shots and it really shows the different environments Japan has to offer. The editorials in Vogue Japan have a dramatic flair. The only flaw we found was that Vogue Japan doesn’t use a lot of Japanese models. Japanese models are some of the most gorgeous models, but the publication prefers to highlight European models. There are many fashion organizations that work with countries to promote a healthy self image by not only using models that reflect different body types but also showcase ethnic diversity. It seems like ALL publications are still working on that.
Vogue China really presents a diversity of images. From soft to dramatic and everything in between, these photos really show off creative diversity. Vogue China does an amazing job of hiring Chinese models for the publication, and we appreciate that! Our favorites from Vogue China are the beauty shots….flawless!
Vogue Korea does an exemplary job of showcasing Korean culture through their editorials. We love the nods to the traditional outfits with modern twists. Something we think about the beauty of the editorials is the depth of the photos and strategic use of color.
